Duty to God
Educate the Educators
- That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children: 7That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:–Psalm 78:6-7
- Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons’ sons—Deut. 4:9
Educate Them about God
- That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:8And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not steadfast with God.—Psalm 78:7-8
- . . . shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done.—Psalm 78:4
- so that you and your son and your grandson might fear the LORD your God, to keep all His statutes and His commandments which I command you, all the days of your life, and that your days may be prolonged.—Deut. 6:2
